CHEAT

You can play easy mode and still see all the screens. Select the hardest possible setting before starting the game, including disabling flip screen and choosing only 3 lives. Now click on the game icon and do as if you were to start the game. When you are prompted to click to play, just choose exit. Now select easy mode and more lives and away you go.

SOLUTION

DISC ONE

TILT: Go DOWN before the fire spreads. Then wait until you're standing on two platforms. Go UP and, without wasting much time, UP again. Finally, go quickly LEFT (or right) to go through the open side door.

HORSE: The position of the horse does not matter much, so go RIGHT (or left, it's your choice) before the screen changes. It's a 50%-50% chance of making it through, but it's better than the 25% chance of pushing the button fast enough after the screen changes and you see which way you really need to go. Then, go LEFT before the screen changes. Afterwards, RIGHT before the screen changes. The next move might be mirrored, too, but it's usually like the previous one, RIGHT. Just jump in the direction in which the horse is headed.

DISC TWO

WALKWAY: Move UP when the crumbling edge reaches your feet. Likewise, go UP again to escape the first platform. Then UP TWICE at the next platform, which is reversed. UP TWICE for the third one, also. And finally go UP TWICE again, and that's it.

SMITHEE: Use the SWORD TWICE, first when you notice the enchanted sword above you, then about two seconds later to block its attack. Then, when you see the anvil, go LEFT (or maybe RIGHT, depending on the side of the screen Dirk is closer to).

ROPES: If you come in from the left, move RIGHT when Dirk is shown in close-up to hang onto the first rope. Then go UP and, after a second, RIGHT. That goes for each rope, 4 times in total.

DISC THREE

LIZARD: Tap the LEFT button TWICE if the pot moves from your left to your right. On the next screen, move UP when Dirk hesitates to get under the load-bearing wall and then RIGHT, in the direction in which the magic pot of gold is headed. Dirk will catch up with it, so swing the SWORD TWICE to defend yourself. Then, go LEFT (towards the lizard), RIGHT (opposite of previous move) and DOWN with about a second in between each move. When it seems the SWORD is stuck, just press the button and Dirk will recover it and slice the king lizard in half.

KNOCKER: Just as it flashes, move RIGHT (away from it). Then draw the SWORD and hit the monster with the SWORD. Do the reverse if needed.

DISC FOUR

GOONS: As soon as Dirk comes out of the trapdoor, go RIGHT (or left) towards the stairs. Quickly use the SWORD to strike the first goon just as he comes out the door. During Dirk's swing, continue RIGHT (or left). When you see a close-up of the stairs, go UP. When you're at the top, go (LEFT) towards the door, to leave the hall and the other two giddy goons behind.

MUDMEN: When the mudmen emerge, duck DOWN. As the screen changes, go UP and to the RIGHT to retreat between craters. During the next scene, jump UP over a volcano to get on the bridge, go RIGHT to cross it, and DOWN to jump off. Finally, RIGHT will get Dirk into the cave. Some moves may be reversed, but not necessarily all of them.

DISC FIVE

LABYRINTH: Here, it is possible to just go UP and LEFT, and UP and LEFT, and so on, and pass the labyrinth quickly. Just don't smash into the wall, and don't stop or you will smash into a wall even though there's a clear path ahead. The last tunnel is always one that has only 1 direction besides forward, either to the left or to the right, but you need to go straight, so the last move of the maze is always UP. When you're in the grave crypt, go (LEFT or RIGHT) away from the skeleton hand that makes its way out of the ground. Then, go UP, then the other way (RIGHT or LEFT) and again the opposite way (LEFT or RIGHT).

THE CRYPT: You face another maze here. Just going UP and RIGHT repeatedly will surely do it, just don't make four consecutive rights continuously! The end corridor has all three ways available, and you need to go UP. Now, if the phantom knight holds his staff with its top part tilted toward the left, go RIGHT and quickly LEFT when you see his lightning bolt coming downward. When Dirk is shown from close distance, go LEFT, to maintain your equilibrium, and UP. As the screen changes, again move LEFT and UP. Dirk is close to the wizard. Very quickly get DOWN and then UP to get closer to the sorcerer. And then throw the SWORD at him.

Dirk has again saved the fair Daphne from the evil forces.
