TIP

INCREDIBLE! After nearly a full decade of playing Twin World on my Amiga, I have finally solved the "key mystery"!

The key mystery was: Level S (the last "real" level of Swamps of Montain) seems impossible to complete without buying a key from the Magic Flute left behind by one Argous. So failure to purchase the key would have meant the end of the game there and then. This had puzzled me because nothing should ever be REQUIRED to be bought from the Magic Flute.

THE SOLUTION TO THE KEY MYSTERY:

There is a place on the "surface" (i.e. outdoors) part of level S where the bottom of the level is an empty gap (not a solid platform or murky marsh). Just take a leap of faith into the empty gap and you will drop down into the gold mines. (Note: A parachute IS required, otherwise you will die by falling from too high.) You can then take the key which is found inside the gold mines and proceed to explore the rest of the level.

The irony here is that sometime in 1992 or 1993, someone wrote to the games help column of "Pelit" magazine asking help in the very same problem. I told him that he had to use the Magic Flute. Where "Pelit" magazine still concerned with Amiga games I would send a correction to my earlier posting that the Magic Flute is not required after all.

Damn! There probably aren't more than 20 or 30 people in the entire world who know of this. I am truly the Twin World Champion, aren't I?
