A game which utilises the "micro miniatures" system so nothing new
on offer. A curious battle for a wargame; despite the death toll (mostly
due to poor post-battle health care) the Lt Bde were victorious but the
battle itself was of no real significance to the overall campaign. As such
it was just a folly (attributed to a failure in the passage of orders)
albeit a famous one. For me there is little point when one cannot seek to
emulate or improve on a plan which never existed. Bear in mind that had
the Lt Bde known the facts (as you do) would they have made the charge?
I think not. The charge of the Hy Bde in the same war was of more significance
(and equally heroic) and would have been a far better subject on tactics
and strategy.
