Introduction |
Welcome to EAGER. You may already be asking why another games site? (I did have the same thought myself when I started this project). Well having looked at the other sites I came to the conclusion that good as some of them are none were as large or as comprehensive in content as that which I offer or, more importantly, aimed specifically at Amiga users. For this reason I have deliberately refrained from using Javascript, and for speed, making the site graphically intensive. I have also aimed the pages at a resolution width of 640 for non gfx card users. |
Features |
This site's purpose is to provide Amiga games players with a complete database of all commercial game titles released on the Amiga. At present the site holds information on 4500+ titles released since circa 1986. Each title's entry shows, where applicable, the following information:

Compatibility |
Whilst I try to ensure that the information contained in this site is accurate you should note the following points: Unfortunately I can only check that information is accurate for those games which I actually own. In other cases I have based it on information given in reviews, etc. Therefore, you are strongly advised to check compatibility before purchase. I cannot be held responsible for a game being incompatible with your Amiga setup. Separate compatibility for A500+, A1500, A2000, A3000, A4000 and 060/PPC setups is not shown. However, if known to be incompatible or to be specifically required this is included in the relevent title's compatibility section. Many titles which run on A500 models require a min of 1Mb of memory. I have not, nor do I intend to, include this information. (Does anyone still use an A500 with only 512k of memory?). Likewise with CD32 compatibility I have only shown this for CD format games. For those users with SX-1 expansions then their CD32 is effectively an A1200 so that compatibility should be read. |
Distribution |
You may download, save, or print any of the information contained herein for your own use. However, its use in whole, or in part, or its subsequent publication elsewhere, in any manner, is prohibited unless permission is first obtained in writing from the webmaster. Note: The copyright of some information contained within this site is not mine and I have had to obtain permission from the respective companies to use it. So if you do plagarise be warned it may not be me who takes any necessary action against you! |
General Notes |
Games are listed by title (alphabetically) and game type. Links are supplied on each data page which are self explanatory. I have wherever possible tried to use the full proper title for a game. This means that if, for instance, you look for "Flames of Freedom" you will not find it amongst the F's but listed as "Midwinter 2: Flames of Freedom". I do not intend to change this naming policy as to do so for every variation I have seen would at least quadruple the list. Legitimate alternate and foreign (non English) titles are shown, where known and applicable, in the listings together with the Title under which I have the game catalogued. If you have a problem finding a game's entry on the site contact me and I will do my best to help. (I have information on quite a few games which for various reasons I have not yet incorporated). Note, however, that I will not reply to requests about versions of these games released for other platforms. (i.e. If you're looking for the PC version of Populous go to a PC games site - 'nuff said.) Where a screenshot is available these are in PNG format. In general these are taken directly from the game running on one of my Amigas with the only post processing being that of PNG conversion. Others, which are not, have been obtained from and are credited to the Hall of Light website. Note: I have not watermarked any of my screenshots since the game gfx remain the copyrighted material of the developer and/or publishers (don't believe websites who tell you they own a screenshot just because they grabbed it). For this reason if you wish to copy or use any screenshot on your site, etc. then I have no objection. However, merely as a courtesy, I would be grateful for an acknowledgement, link, etc. and/or email to let me know of your intention. In the links to other sites I have included HD installers and Exotica for game music. You should be aware that the usage of HD installers where they modify the original disks may infringe Copyright Law in your country and therefore be illegal. Exotica contains music files from many games and whilst I know that some of these have been permitted by the authors no doubt some may not have had such permission given. I do not condone nor advocate infringement of Copyright Law and your usage of these sites and subsequent downloading of data from them is therefore at your own discretion and risk. |
Frequently Asked Questions |
I have installed a FAQ section showing some questions which I have had regarding both this site and Amiga games in general. I would ask that you check this page prior to contacting me as your answer may already be there. (I do not normally reply to emails which ask these same questions again). |
