Listed below are some questions which I seem to receive on an alarmingly regular basis. Please read these prior to contacting me as it may save both you and I time and effort, not to mention disappointment in some cases.

Q.Where can I download game XYZ from?
A.Look at the game's entry on the site for this information, if no URL is shown then the game is either not legally available for download or I don't know either. In the former case even if I know of an illegal site I will not supply the info - so don't ask.
Q.I have downloaded an adf of game XYZ but cannot get it to work on Fellow/UAE etc.?
A.Whilst I sympathise with your predicament I am unable to help you with this problem, I use real Amigas to play Amiga games. As I stated on the main page, (you did read it, didn't you?), this site is aimed primarily at Amiga users. However, take a look at the links page where you will find details of sites which offer this information.
Q.I am having problems with game XYZ on level 9 - what do I do?
A.Obviously, unless I have played the game in question I will not have the foggiest idea, and even if I have played it, I may not be able to remember the solution - particularly with really old games. You could try posting a message on the comp.sys.amiga.games newsgroup and someone there may be able to help.

NOTE:   This newsgroup is for information on Amiga games not emulation on other platforms or for requesting warez, if you ask such questions don't be surprised if you receive a less than curteous response. If you haven't used the group before you should read their FAQ before posting which gives details of what is and isn't On Topic. It can be found at csag.FAQ

Q.You have listed game XYZ as being available from gamescompany.com but when I contacted them they said they did not have it.
A.I only update the availability lists once a month and can only go by the information which the companies involved supply. However, that said, bear in mind that these companies may only have had one copy of the game available which they have since sold.
Q.You have listed game XYZ as being available from gamescompany.com and also show it as being available as a free download. Why?
A.I decided to do this because whilst the games are legally available free some of these free download games are cracked versions on which HD installers and OS patches will not work. I therefore show the commercial site info as you may wish to purchase the original game in it's entirety (box, manuals, etc) and on which said patches will work.
Q.Does game XYZ work on an A???? system?
A.Maybe, I have tried to err on the side of caution when supplying compatibility information. This means that unless I have either personal knowledge either from use or from information contained in reviews etc. I have listed compatibility as N/K (Not Known). Of course if you have information to the contrary then I will gladly incorporate this if you let me know.
Q.Why don't you list PD games?
A.Because I don't want to, no not really, in all honesty, the reason I don't is because the sheer number of games involved would mean that I would end up having to make judgements on which to show and which not to (plus the time involved in researching and including such information - no mean task). It is not my intention to decide what is good and what is bad, after all we all have our favourite genres and therefore bias. I do, however, list PD games in the Charts section since not to do so I feel would be unfair.
Q.Will you be showing box scans and/or screenshots of the games?
A.Box scans - No, as I don't see the point. Most box graphics bear no relation to the actual game graphics and if anything are misleading.
Screenshots - I have begun to include these but in no particular order or priority. Normally when I have a screenshot I'll include it with the next update I make to the games information page.
Q.Will you put the actual magazine reviews on your site?
A.No, for whilst I have permission to do so from some publishers I do not for others. Another issue is that I have provided the review information as an aid to those who purchased the magazines to easily find the relevant article not for those who didn't bother to buy, and therefore support, the magazines when they existed.
Q.I loved XYZ on the Amiga, do you know where I can get the PC version?
A.Maybe but as this site is aimed at the Amiga and its users I will not reply to such emails..
Q.Do you know where I can get the PD game XYZ?
A.As with the previous question I will not reply to such emails. I can only suggest you try Aminet.
Q.The release dates for the games listed on developers pages don't always match up with those listed under the game pages?
A.I am aware of this and it is not really an error but due to the fact that the release dates differed from system to system. In general the developer pages show the date of first release on any system, or the date when the development work took place, whilst the game pages refer to the actual Amiga release date.
