| Comments: | John Twiddy started his programming career at age 21 after graduating from University where he had studied Electronics and Microprocessor Applications. He initially worked for a company called Supasoft producing spreadsheet and database programs for the Amstrad range before he created his first commercial game "Paint Pot Charlie". Prior to this he had produced some unpublished Manic Miner clones on the Dragon, and Pacman clones on the Commodore PET 2001. Later he, along with Mev Dinc and Hugh Riley, set up the development company Vivid Image. In addition to writing games he also continued to develop business software and, I believe, has now left game development and only works on this type of software - something he had predicted would likely happen in a 1994 interview. |
